PlayStation 3 Revealed

Sony has unveiled the next generation of its best-selling PlayStation hardware, promising a piece of kit far more powerful than Microsoft’s recently unveiled Xbox 360. Although the ultimate proof will be in the software, the systems’ specs are impressive. The PlayStation 3 — slated for a Spring 2006 release in the U.S. — runs on the highly-vaunted CELL chip. The PS3’s CELL consists of a 64-bit PowerPC core running at 3.2 GHz and enhanced by eight 32-bit “synergistic processing units,” capable of performing 216 gigaflops. NVIDIA is providing the 550 MHz GPU, which is rated at 1.8 teraflops.
The PS3 hardware features several forms of connectivity, including 1000BASE-T Ethernet and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi (the same standard used by the PSP), as well as USB 2.0 and a variety of flash memory inputs such as Sony’s proprietary Memory Stick. The oddly-shaped wireless controllers will connect to the system via Bluetooth. The machine will support TVs running in 1080p progressive scan mode, meaning Sony will be tagging along for Microsoft’s bold foray into the “HD era.”
The PS3 will run games from 54GB Blu-Ray DVDs but is backwards-compatible with PlayStation and PS2 games. Looking forward, a wide array of developers and publishers have pledged their support for the machine: Electronic Arts, Konami and Namco, among others.
OMG, it looks so fucking HOT. Maybe I need to pull another Dreamcast all-night camp out for one.
2. I guess I wouldn’t have to buy the cheap if I managed my money slightly better. After looking at my bank statement this weekend, I realize that I bring in just about $3100 a month and spend $3050, leaving a balance of roughly $50. Where the fuck my money is going?

4. Caught up on all my shows, TiVo is the bomb. But is it me but is Spider getting fat. Maybe it’s something with NBC’s camera cause Spider doesn’t even look that big on the Sopranos.
5. but Samurai Champloo and LOST has been off the chain but I still can’t into Desperate Housewives.
6. Wish I was on the Survivor diet but I’ve dropped 25 pound since February, but according to my aunt I still Look fat. But she meant in with love.
7. The Summer is almost here and I don’t think I’m ready for it, I still have 25 more pounds to lose.
8. The finale to my Pervert Series, Episode III, is coming soon and its actually been started, I just can’t write while I’m at home. Fucked up ain’t it.
9. Thanks to World From The Web, it’s where I got the new shot for my banner. Dontcha just love the Schuylkill River at night? I’m loving my new white background.
10. At some point I need to take my ass back home and see my family but in due time.
11. And maybe hang out with recently Chicago to Philly transplant, Exjinn.
12. This past weekend wasn’t bad but now I have to sully it up by going to work.
I was just working on my .Mac site and my wordpress blog here just fuckin’ disappeared. Thank Jebus that I back this bitch up just last week.
Well I should take this oppurtunity to drop some of my dead blog weight and fine tune my color scheme.

1. I got all my issues with Tiger and Roxio Popcorn resolved. I’ve been backing up all my favorite DVDs. Also I also want to put out there that I will not be selling bootleg movies, but if anyone would like a copy of something I have I’ll be more to GIVE it to you, as long as you pay $2 for a blank DVD-r and the $8-10 shipping and handling fee. $15 if I have to mail. 2. I also want to make it clear that even though I admit to perversion and porn, and the occasional hot/bland sex, I’m not a sex-craved freak. I’m a geek, I read comic books, I watch Anime and old school kung fu and I’m currently trying to build a home server to run Linux and jabber but like all geeks (black, white, gay, straight, married or single, we all have insane amount of porn). So what if I’m gay or bisexual or whatever, Sex is only one aspect of who Tony is.
3. *Geek Moment* So DC Comics has changed their logo in hopes to have a recognized brand like Marvel Enterprises. But my question is, what does the D.C. in DC Comics mean? It can’t be Detective Comics because that would be redundant. I always thought it was Direct Currents, but hey I could be wrong. BTW Superman still sucks.
4. June 5th will be the first anniversary of me moving out into my own place. Just a few weeks ago I was thinking bout getting a bigger place. But I realized that I don’t need that much more space just better storage techniques. Plus I really can’t afford that much more in rent.
5. Been indulging my sweet tooth too much lately, think its time to one- Limit my spending and two- start back on induction.
6. *Geek Moment* Astonishing X-Men #10 was off the chain. If You don’t Like Joss Whedon’s writing, well fuck you. Spoiler in inviso-text: The Danger Room becomes sentient and whups the X-Men’s asses! Preview here.
7. I need to go out this weekend, but I my funds will be limited. Anyone has any suggestions for cool shit to do around Chicago on a budget? No Lame Shit. Please send all suggestions here.
