To say I’m impatient is such a understatement its not even funny.

Essentially I’m tired of waiting on these Negroes in my fraternity. It seems that a “Timely Fashion” is something they can not comprehend. And its not that I ask too many questions, even need to be kept in the information loop. But if I send a board member an email it should not take more then 3 weeks to respond.

What happened was this: a couple years ago before I went inactive I made the national site, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either.Which pretty much sums up all my achievements in graphic design and web development, but I digress. Essentially after I, one of the few that was financial regularly, the most active and so forth was made to leave, they took my site my “un-intellectual” property and made a bastardize version of it, missing links and everything. So when I was asked to come back I decided as a gift of good faith to redo the website since it beyond a fixing or a tweaking. I had the ground work done with three days, the main site was completely in within the week, and editing was done the following week. So if you were to go the Kappa Psi Kappa site right now, what would you see? (Given if DirectNIC servers had recovered from Hurri.cane Ka.trina) the same bastardize site I made 3 years ago. I was told 2 days into the project to hold on on making it public tot he fraternity but the President for it would be a surprise. No real explanation, don’t even think it was a whole sentence. But I accepted it and waited, since I need a few more elements to finish like the Presidents message to the public and an on line fee payment system that should eliminate the need to “snail-mail” money orders through USPS.

The website is the 2nd major way to attract new members, second to actually being out in public representing Kappa Psi Kappa. I feel that the website I created years ago, was “okay” for the time it was made but really doesn’t represent a professional organization at all. For a year during my “inactive” the national site was a Geocities Page with a animated GIF background and several copyrighted images MS Painted blue.

To fully accomplish everything I need feedback, information, just something to actually put on the site. Unfortunately the current webmaster is pissed about something, and has no opinion for and against what I was doing. The EIC says I need to follow protocol, even though there is no protocol and blows me off to play Yahoo! Pinnacle. The First VP can’t say anything other than “Contact Sean,” the President and I’m still waiting for a response I sent to President 3 weeks ago. I really hate waiting on things that take all of 2 seconds to correct. At first I decided to play the Devil’s advocate, I thought that made they had a full schedule or just got caught up. But it doesn’t take much to shoot off a quick informal reply. Maybe they currently don’t have email access but common courtesy would dictate that some type of auto-response notify people of a situation. Maybe I think outside the box too often.

So what is the status to the website I’m doing. Well, now I can not get in contact with the official webmaster, so moving the site was out of the question, and even if I wanted to move it the hosting company, DirectNIC does not support any cgi, php, sql or asp hosting and their servers are located in scenic downtown New Orleans (I kid you not). I’ve pick a few tricks in the last couple of years so my new site would not work there. So being the kind gentle, giving, selfish, impatient, mean people I am, I registered a new domain KappaPsiKappa.org and added more hosting with FMLive with my own money. So now the site is live, up & running at 95% functionality and while no one seems to care, it’s probably my best work to date. For it to be completely 98-100% finish, I have to sit here and wait…
