Essentially that excerpt explains how I’ve been doing the last few days… BROKE AS FUCK. Normally it wouldn’t bother me as much, since I’ve joined the working world I’ve gotten use to seeing my accounts in red, a bill here or there go over due. Eventually I always catch up by the next pay period or two. But it’s all different now. I’ve been holding out on y’all… since December I’ve been seeing someone, lets call him Beau. I emphasize the word seeing because I haven’t actually seen him since before Christmas. Beau lives in Washington D.C. and as y’all should know I stay in Chicago. I’ve been adapting well to the idea of a long distance relationship but as much as I want to see Beau and all the good mushy shit, reality sets in and my wallet tells me “Nigga, you must be crazy. You can’t afford to travel right now!”

I’ve already made plans to see Beau next week, but now I think I’m going to have to postpone them and really don’t know how to tell him. They say things have a way of working themselves out, but is it me or do more and more things like this (involving money) seem to happen more and more often? Maybe it’s time to close down the Bank of Tony.
